Puppets Seed Child and Theia Yule are ritual puppets to welcome the Winter Solstice. Both are built around a section of bamboo pole (gathered from a wild overgrown corner of my neighborhood) and are meant to be carried in a procession or gentle dance. Seed Child holds seeds (oak acorns, mesquite, mountain laurel) gathered on walks in my neighborhood. Small treasures everywhere this time of year!
