The puppet has told me her name: Silathera. She is a sylph, an elemental air spirit. I love how a puppet reveals itself, becomes a co-creator. Silathera brings a message: We must protect our Air; Cease polluting it with life-harming carbon emissions. Her hands have been given a bit more dimension; her head has a layer of paint; and I’ve added the presence of my grandmother–I carefully cut the lace angels from a small table linen.
