This summer, I’ve enjoyed tramping through neighborhood greenbelts, drainage ditches and empty lots — where ever wildflowers sprout up–to look for native bees. This longhorn bee with the hairy, pollen-collecting legs was nuzzling a cenizo blossom for its rich nectar.
