Such a jewel, this Margined Calligrapher hoverfly! When you take the time to slow down and notice, there are so many wonders to discover outside your door. As you know, I am partial to the world of insects, with a special affinity for pollinators and the constant dance between insects and plants. These daily encounters are also what feed or pollinate my writing process. And yes, a second novel is in the very wee stages. At this point, I am scribing the seeds of ideas, beginning to meet my main character, approaching her with sweet expectation just as this hoverfly approaches this flower seeking nectar.
